Fishing 3. one of the cool places to look at are the office buildings with all glass "walls"/windows across from the bank in hermitage but a neat place to go for teens would be ten pin bowling alley, olympic roller skating rink, and the mall, and the movies, a fun place for west middlesex kids and teens is the cave run by the minister and other ladies and gentlemen from that church!!!!!!! 4. the new hotel, 5. reasonable cost of living, relatively safe for crime and weather.(outside of rare tornado) 6. shit stuck up wana be perfect people that doesn't have a clue what s going on in the city 7. FORMER resident --ethnic makeup and immigrant heritage, reminiscent of America's Great motto for 227 years, "E Pluribus Unum," (Out of Many, One); strong family life and tradition of religious tolerance (Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Amish, etc), more of the "Go in the closet and pray" genre rather than the in-your-face-wear-it-on-the-sleeve genre; wonderful farms; great sports history; close proximity to Pgh and Cleve; old fashioned downtowns, ie, Mercer, Grove City, Sharon; Buhl Park and Amish Country 14. I'm 17 years old and have grown up in Mercer County. I've lived in Sharon, Hermitage, and Hempfield Township. I think that the area is a great place to raise a family. It is quiet here, not a lot of crime, and not a lot of traffic. I like driving through the county to see the farms. Also, I love walking along State Street in Sharon and Broad Street in Grove City. However, I wish there were more job opportunities here. This is a great area to live in, but not if you don't have a job. And a job at the local "Super Wal-mart" just won't cut it. I think the county should do all it can to attract good jobs, while still preserving the farms and open spaces. Also, I think more should be done to beautify our cities, towns, and villages. Downtown Greenville is a disaster. It would be nice if the owners of the rundown buildings would take an interest in them, or sell them to someone who will. The same goes for other towns in the area. But all in all, Mercer County is a great place to live! 15. The cops are in everyone's asshole...they keep it very secure 16. i like mercer county because most of the people living here are considerate of others. i recently spent 3 months is south Florida for my internship and realized what a big difference that makes. the quality of life is so much more respected here. it is just sad that i am going to have to leave the county to find a job related to my degree. i am graduating from Penn State Shenango campus with a 4 year business degree. i wish i could stay in mercer county. the people make the difference. 17. Comments: I live in Mercer County, New Jersey and I happened upon your site. It nice to know we have a brother county in our neighbor state. I hope to visit you one day soon!!!!!!! 18. I think the law enforcement is very helpful with the trouble makers. 19. The hard working men and women who are trying to support their families. Alot of them are my friends and relatives. they are the backbone of this county, and this country. and even though they may not have alot of money they still know how to have good family time. America is about family. 20. transportation 21. when you get to leave 22. The Jobs 23. I think the best features of this county are the events that happen around the year 24. the farms 25. well maintained roads, while trained emergency crew, covered bridge, camping areas, fishing areas.
